COVID-19 Information & Concerns

In the midst of the panic over Coronavirus (COVID-19), we know you may be scared and nervous. That’s okay. While we need to treat this time with all seriousness and preparedness, we must not react with panic. We have put together some resources to help you understand what easy actions you can take to prevent this illness, prepare for the future, and prioritize your mental health.

Prevent

The CDC has some great tips on preventing yourself from contracting COVID-19, as well as reducing exposure to others. The main tips are below, and can be reviewed and expanded upon on their website:

  1. Wash your hands often.

  2. Avoid close contact with others.

  3. Stay home if you are sick.

  4. Cover coughs and sneezes.

  5. Wear a face mask if you are sick.

  6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces (including your phone!).

Again, this is just a few reminders to help you prevent spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses as well. Please read more on the CDC’s website to learn about who is at risk, symptoms, and more.

Prepare

Our economic health is also taking a hit during this global pandemic. We’ve seen the stock market go through some significant drops in the past week, so it’s natural to be worried about your retirement savings. This can be alarming, and cause a lot of anxiety. Thankfully, we have great options that you can secure through our agency that will be untouched by the uncertainties of the stock market.

  1. Annuities - An Annuity is a life insurance policy that works like a retirement plan. The money you put into this policy is unaffected by outside sources. We have more information on Annuities here, or you can call Mike and ask any questions you may have.

  2. Cash Value Life Insurance - This type of Life Insurance is similar to annuities in that the amount of money you put into the policy is also unaffected by outside sources. Learn more about this coverage by contacting Mike.

You can use either of these tools to help prepare for your future, no matter what the market looks like.

Prioritize

Like we said, this is a scary time. Immersing yourself in COVID-19 news and updates 24/7 cannot be healthy for your mental well being. It’s important to take some time for yourself and unplug, to reduce your own anxiety as much as possible. Check in on your friends and family. If we stick together as a community, we can get through this.

UPDATE:

Our Office is now closed to the general public. We are preparing to switch our staff to a work from home policy to keep our employees, their families, and our community safe. More information on how this will affect you can be found here.

We will continue to update this blog post as the situations change. Thank you.
